.... How do I get my kids involved?
All you need to do is find out when the next outreache(s) are on and contact us about any of them and we will send you applications.
.... I'm over 18 and I want to get involved, is it still possible for me to join an outreach?
Ah yes, you can join us and be staff on the team, but this doesn't necessarily mean that you are assigned to a duty and that is it! You can also be performing staff! And it is fun....I have been performing staff many times!
.... Is it ok for boys to dance?
Heck yes!!! David danced before the Lord in 2 Samuel 6:14 "David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might" I'm a guy and I love to dance, if you're a guy and you want to dance for Christ (or you'd like to learn how to dance for Him) don't be ashamed, guys put the flavour into dancing! If you are interested, or as a parent you would like to see your son and/or daughter dancing for Jesus, contact us, cruise to the "haps" page, and we will send you some info about how to join an outreach.
.... What is required if someone wants to do an overseas outreach?
Well our policy is to do an outreach in NZ first before any international outreach, so if you haven't done an outreach in NZ first but want to do an outreach in Samoa, or Athens, then get into gear and do one!
But we do make the exception for those who have been in a similar sort of outreach before.
.... Is King's Kids only for those who were previously in it?
No way! We welcome all newcomers!
There is nothing like some fresh starters into the performing arts, or else everyone gets used to everyone and it just gets boring! If you do want your kids to be involved, please don't hesitate! Call ur or email us immediately for some info on upcoming outreaches.
.... What is the procedure as to becoming King's Kids leader/staff?
First of all you would need to do a DTS (Discipleship Training School)
DTS's are running all year round all over the world. If you would want to find out more about these schools you could visit the YWAM International website @ www.ywam.org
Second, staff are encouraged to do a PCYM (Principles in Child and Youth Ministries). In order to lead or run outreaches through King's Kids it is required that you do do a PCYM. King's Kids is hopefully running a PCYM in April 20 2005 - September 19 2005, in order to do this school you would have needed to have done a DTS. View "the haps" link @ www.kingskids.co.nz
If you have done a DTS and would like to do our PCYM, you can contact us and we will send out an info pack and application to you.
Third, you would need to work with King's Kids for at least 2 years, before being recognised as a King's Kids representative/leader.
